Private Swim Lessons At Lochmere

Does your child want to learn how to swim better?  Are you looking to perfect your own strokes?

Lochmere offers private swim lessons to residents (grandchildren are included).

We currently have 7 certified instructors.   Our instructors are:

Only Lochmere certified instructors can teach lessons at Lochmere.  All lessons are taught at the Lochwod facility (500 Lochood Drive). 

To make sure that you swimmers have a posiitive experience, lessons will start on Tuesday, May 26.

The cost is $25 per 1/2 hour.  Checks should be made payable to Lochmere Swim Team.

Fathers' Day Complimentary Daddy & Me Infant Toddler Swim Class

To celebrate summer and Fathers', Diane Laws will be holding a complimentary water introduction class for all infants and toddlers and their dads on Saturday, June 20, at 11AM at the Lochwood Lap Pool. Naturally moms, grandmas and grandpas are invited also.

So that we know who is coming, please RSVP HERE. Please only count the little swimmer who will be attending.

This is a great way for parents to learn how to get their little ones comfortable in the water. Diane will also review safety rules with the children as well as their parents. Parents and their children will interact in the water so expect to get wet!!! And don't forget your camera.

Please remember that all non-potty-trained swimmers must wear a swimming diaper as well as tight-fitting rubber pants.

Grill Nights Return To The Lochwood Pool On Friday, May 22

We’re excited to announce that our beloved grill nights are back! This year the setup will be the same at both pool facilities with the grills being self-service. Whether you’re a seasoned grill master or a first-timer, we’ve got you covered.
What to Expect:
  • Grill nights are Friday and Saturday evenings throughout the pool season at Lochwood.  Grills are available from 5:30-6:45PM May 22 through Labor Day Weekend. 
  • Because the grill at Highlands is in the fenced area, it is available for your enjoyment during normal operating hours every day.
  • Propane Grills: Lochmere will supply the gas and grills, so all you need to bring is your food and appetite.
  • While we do have grilling utensils, please feel free to bring your own also.
  • Recent Repairs: We’ve recently repaired the grills to ensure they’re in top-notch condition.
