Lochmere Adult Tennis Leagues

USTA leagues are the country's largest recreational tennis league, helping more than 400,000 players nationwide get on the court, have a good time, and step up their game. The league is organized as competitive team match play. Teams are made up of a minimum of five to eight players depending on the league.

The Recreation Club of Lochmere forms USTA (United Staes Tennis Assiciation) league teams for NTRP rated players, 2.5,3.0,3.5,4.0, and 4.5.

A common question for new players joining USTA leagues is "what level of play do I sign up for?" To help guide you through the process, the USTA uses the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) for determining levels of competition for USTA leagues.  NTRP ratings are as follows:

  • 3.0 (Intermediate Beginner)
  • 3.5 (Intermediate)
  • 4.0 (Advanced Intermediate)
  • 4.5 (Advanced)

Within Wake County, there are WWTA (Western Wake Tennis Association) Adult tennis leagues.  For more information about WWTA, click HERE.
