Lochmere has a very active social scene, with all sorts of interesting clubs and privately-organized groups created by our Lochmere residents. These include several social clubs and groups/listservs for specific neighborhoods in Lochmere

Birkhaven Book Club
This club, which is comprised of Lochmere Birkhaven residents, meets one evening each month for fun, socializing, and of course a lively group discussion on a wide variety of literary offerings. Lee Carroll manages the schedule, with its rotating venue at member homes. Each monthly host selects the book to be read and discussed. Book Club - Daytime
The Book Club is a discussion group that includes women and men from Lochmere. We meet in a member's home each month, rotating the location, and always have a spirited conversation about the book chosen. Books are selected by the group and one member borrows the books from a local library's book club selections - making it very convenient and free of any expense for the book. Books are distributed at the meeting, giving everyone a month to complete the reading. Many different types of books have been selected so far. Book Club - Nighttime
There are numerous evening book clubs which meet monthly at resident's homes. There are active clubs in Lochside, Whisperwood, and Lochmere Highlands to name a few. Card Club
This card club was formed over ten years ago by several Lochmere residents. The group meets on Friday nights at 8pm and plays anywhere from midnight to 2am. Play rotates at member homes. Young Families of Lochmere Facebook Page
YFL is a club where members can find new friends right here in the Lochmere neighborhood. Ideas for activities so far include dinner parties, playgroups for children, joint babysitting, group outings, coffee hours, BBQs, and even professional networking.
