highlands traffic calming

The Town of Cary has advised us that the contract is in place to begin installation of traffic calming devices along Loch Highlands Drive. Residents should be seeing construction cones very soon. This will be the culmination of a formal five-year effort to reduce speeding and improve safety along the roadway.

The traffic calming measures include:

  • Raised crosswalk at the playground greenway path
  • Five speed humps along Loch Highlands Drive
  • New, improved signage
  • Radar speed signs will remain in place

The Town of Cary is covering all of the costs for these improvements. There will be no special assessments or additional fees.

Please be careful as you drive through the construction areas.

Please visit www.lochmere.org and check the Ad Hoc Traffic Committee’s web page for additional information and updates.
