8/28/2014 update from the our district commander at the Cary Police -- good news:
Great news! All suspects in the Camden Forest burglary were identified. Two were arrested, and warrants are being issued for others. If our belief that all 3 burglaries are related holds true, this should effectively bring an end to this trend and allow Lochmere to relax once again. We will still have increased presence for the next few days while the remaining warrants are served, but I wanted to put this out so your residents could breathe a sigh of relief. Again, our thanks to the vigilant eyes of those who were able to provide invaluable witness information in helping to solve this crime. This is a prime example of the strength of communities working together with the police to keep their neighborhoods safe!
8/27/2014 update from the Cary Police (note, the Police did not provide specific address, just the street):
We’ve made an arrest in the Camden Forest case and recovered much of their property. That’s the good news. The bad news is there are other accomplices who have yet to be identified and who remain active in their larcenous endeavors. A 3rd home was hit on Lochview Drive today. Neighbors will be seeing an increased presence from officers for awhile. If you don’t see us, don’t assume we’re not there as we may or may not move into a more covert mode while we try to catch the rest of this crew. As always, please let me know if you have questions, and I’ll be happy to answer what I can. Please ask neighbors to remain on the lookout, especially for the white Ford Windstar, a white Chrysler Town & Country and / or an older model, white Bonneville style vehicle w/red pin striping. Best way to call in sightings is the non-emergency number of 919-469-4012.
8/23/2014: Please see below (with updated attachment) for another update from the Cary Police. Although the information indicates "....in the area of Cary Parkway and Holly Springs", the most recent burglary on 8/22 was in Loch Highlands (in Lochmere) on Bonniewood Drive.
Attached is a crime alert regarding recent burglaries in the area of Cary Parkway and Holly Springs Road. For more general information please contact District 3 Captain Kevin Tingen at 919-469-4088. More importantly if reporting a sighting of one of the suspicious vehicles listed in the flyer, please contact the non-emergency number at 919-469-4012, which is manned 24/7, so an officer can be dispatched in an effort to locate the vehicle right away. If a vehicle is sighted, please ask callers to record as much information as possible (tag number, driver / passenger descriptions, etc.) in the event we’re unable to get there before they leave.
Please pass this along to your neighborhood communication channels
